FAQs
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand that things come up, so you can cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 business hours (M-F) notice. If it’s less than 24 business hours notice, you will be charged for the full rate of the appointment with the credit card you have placed on file with us at the time of your intake session.
What is the first session like?
The first session will be a process of getting to know you and what you are hoping to get out of counseling. You may share as much as you feel comfortable. (We recognize you are getting to know us too!) Your therapist will most likely ask you questions to help move the process along and gather relevant information. Toward the end of the second or third session, you and your therapist will make a plan to address your goals. We see this process as one of collaboration. It is normal that you may feel a little apprehensive about your first session if you have not been in therapy before. However, most clients report that they feel a great deal of relief at the end of their first session.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is an abbreviation for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. While we’ll never do anything in session with you that you’re not comfortable with, this incredible therapy technique has been proven to help you find relief from your most distressing and traumatic memories. During EMDR, we’re able to revisit these memories and help your brain to process and heal naturally from them.

Do you accept insurance?
We do not take insurance; however, we can provide you with a receipt for you to file with your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement, if applicable. We are able to take Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flex Spending Accounts (FSA). We will work with you to determine what will work best for you.
What are the the fees for counseling?
Please talk with your individual counselor, and they can discuss rates for therapy. We offer a select number of reduced cost sessions.
All clients are required to have a credit card on file. Payment is expected at the time of treatment. If payment is not received within 30 days, the therapist reserves the right to terminate therapy.
What is telehealth?
Our providers are licensed in the state of Georgia and Florida and are able to provide distance counseling via phone or HIPAA-compliant video platform to clients that are deemed appropriate for tele-medicine options.
What is the 'No Surpises Act'?
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 404-482-2048.
